Privacy
No tracking. No selling. No public email list.
Take Back the Mac is a small public request board. The privacy goal is simple: collect as little as practical, keep emails private, and avoid tracking people.
What is collected
If you submit a request, the site stores the request title, details, optional name, email address, submission time, and a browser generated voter ID used to prevent duplicate submissions and votes.
Votes use a random ID stored in your browser. Voting does not require an account or email verification.
What is public
Request titles, details, vote counts, status, submission date, and optional names may appear publicly on the site.
Email addresses are not displayed publicly.
What is not done
The site does not run analytics, sell email addresses, publish email addresses, or use submitted emails for marketing.
Email is required only as light abuse prevention and so the project can follow up about a submitted request if needed.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages with a Cloudflare D1 database. Like any hosted site, Cloudflare may process ordinary request logs needed to operate the service.
